Rollex

Saves time, saves fuel, saves money!

Crushing and levelling (option)

The Crossboard Heavy crushes and levels huge volumes of heavy, cloddy soil. The working angle of the Crossboard can be controlled from the tractor cab on the go. In this way a wave of soil is pushed in front of the Crossboard. This grinding effect will even out the field and turn the clods into fine tilth.

The Crossboard can be equipped with single or double knives. The Single-Knife will cut clods in the top soil in order to reduce clod sizes. The Double-Knife is a good way to break a crust that prevents the plants from emerging.

Crossboard can be locked together with a stabilising bar for improved cultivation and levelling.

Consolidation

Rexius and Rollex can be equipped with four different types of consolidation press rings. Depending on the needs each ring has its own advantages.

Cambridge roller

The conventional Cambridge rings are a popular choice when mainly using the roller for consolidating seedbeds, pressing down stones or consolidating growing crops in the spring.

It leaves an even surface that is consolidated all the way to the top and hence achieves a good contact between the seed/roots and the soil.

Cambridge rings are available on Rollex 450-620 and Rexius 650-1230.

Crosskill roller

The aggressive Crosskill rings turn the roller into an efficient soil preparation tool. As every second ring turns with different speed it will crush clods and keep itself clean also in humid conditions. This also achieves a loose and crust-resistant surface, above the consolidated zone. The Crosskill ring can be used for rolling growing crops, but care should be taken as it might damage the plant leaves.

Crosskill rings are available on Rollex 450-620 and Rexius 650-1020.

Cambridge Heavy Duty

The Heavy Duty version of the conventional Cambridge ring is a good choice when additional consolidation is needed.

Cambridge Heavy Duty rings are available on Rexius 650-1020.

Steel roller

The hardened steel rings break the heaviest clods. The aggressive profile will press down straw into the surface layer to ensure optimal decomposition. The steel ring is a good choice when connecting the roller behind a stubble cultivator.

Steel rings are available on Rexius 500-650.

Features

Narrow transport width

All Väderstad rollers have a narrow transport width of 2.5 m (2.8 m for Rollex 510 and 620).

Rubber suspension

The maintenance-free and practically indestructible rubber suspension absorbs impacts. This increases the lifetime of bearings, rings and the frame of the entire machine.

Generous stone trays

Large stone trays (option on Rollex) allow more efficient work and higher capacity. The stone trays are easily emptied by tipping the roller backwards hydraulically.

Master and Slave

The Crossboard on all Väderstad rollers is equipped with master and slave cylinders, this gives a more level work result by preventing the segments from getting different positions depth wise.

Contour following

All Väderstad rollers are jointed around bearing units to give good responsiveness in the field. This is important in ensuring that all soil receives the same rolling effect and that the same results can be achieved irrespective of the shape of the field.

Strong wing joints

A long life time is critical in the jointed construction. Rollex and Rexius rollers are both fitted with the same heavy-duty grease able case hardened bushings and joints to minimize the wear of the material.

Options

Cambridge rings

The conventional Cambridge rings are best utilised when the Rollex/Rexius roller is mostly working as a traditional roller for instance after drilling or when pressing down stones. The roller ring diameter is 485 mm.

Crosskill rings

The aggressive Crosskill rings turn the roller into an efficient soil preparation tool. As every second ring turns with different speed it will crush clods and keep itself clean also in humid conditions. This also achieves a loose and crust-resistant surface, above the consolidated zone. The Crosskill ring can be used for rolling growing crops, but care should be taken as it might damage the plant leaves.

The roller ring diameter is 520 mm.

Heavy Duty rings

The Heavy Duty version of the conventional Cambridge ring is a good choice when additional consolidation is needed.

The roller ring diameter is 565 mm.

Steel rings

The hardened steel rings break the heaviest clods. The aggressive profile will press down straw into the surface layer to ensure optimal decomposition. The steel ring is a good choice when connecting the roller behind a stubble cultivator.

The roller ring diameter is 550 mm.

Crossboard Heavy

Crossboard Heavy consists of hardened tines with angled wearing plates to provide aggressive cultivation. Clods are crushed and the soil is levelled. The Crossboard tines do not draw up stones and is therefore suitable for stony fields. Various wearing plates are available as option. A stabilising bar can be used for increased levelling capacity.

Single-Knife

The Crossboard can be equipped with single or double knives. The Single-Knife will cut clods in the top soil in order to reduce clod sizes. Fastened with the Väderstad Quickchange system – no tools needed.

Double-Knife

The Crossboard can be equipped with single or double knives. The Double-Knife is a good way to break a crust that prevents the plants from emerging. Fastened with the Väderstad Quickchange system – no tools needed.

BioDrill

With BioDrill in place, the Rollex or Rexius is transformed into a drill for small-seeded crops like oilseed rape or catch crops. The seed is placed in front of the roller which ensures good seed-to-soil contact and good germination.

Drawbar extension

When the roller is attached behind another implement, an extra long drawbar is available for better manoeuverability
